Technically, it is a standalone application embedded in the page via an iframe – in the administration, the editor only enters its address and frame height. A supplier's calculator is embedded here in the same way.
How the calculator is connected
The calculator is a standalone application embedded via an iframe – the editor only sets its address and frame height, nothing is programmed. A supplier's calculator is embedded the same way: just update the address and publish. The only limitation is on the side of the external application – its operator can block embedding with the X-Frame-Options header. This is also the case for the "Housing for Life" calculator on mmr.gov.cz, which sends X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGIN, so browsers will not display it on another website. There are then three options: ask the operator to allow our domain, link to the calculator instead, or host your own calculator – as we do here.
