The portal complies with the WCAG 2.1 standard at level AA, with the exceptions listed below. The editorial team checks accessibility automatically with every publish.
What the content management system enforces
- an image cannot be saved to the media library without alternative text,
- a page cannot be published if its text contains an image without alternative text,
- skipped heading levels and links such as "click here" are flagged,
- tables must have headers.
Known shortcomings
- PDF documents older than 2024 may not have a machine-readable structure,
- the embedded calculator is a third-party application; accessibility is handled by its supplier.
